Project #2 Of Jane LaFazio's On-Line Workshop

Our assignment was to create a sketch at a coffee house.  I found Lux Coffee Bar in Phoenix. Very understated place to say the least....an arty hangout atmosphere.  Great muffin and cappuccino! Really enjoyed the experience.

I think I am still putting too much into the picture. I need to remind myself that for a sketch, less is more.

Keys To The Highway

This is a watercolor that I did for a Jane LaFazio on-line workshop that I am presently taking. I am always looking for different approaches to learning whether they be simple or complex.  Some day I hope to have some "muscle memory" for this activity. Constructing journals is like practicing poetry but drawing and painting are like......uh.....like dancing with two left feet(?)
